COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIES FOR ANIMALS
Animals deserve to lead happy and healthy lives as much as their owners.
There are many therapies available to enhance well-being, assist in the
healing of injuries, and even help the temperament of animals. Just some
of the therapies available are Canine and Equine Bowen Therapy, Canine
Massage, McTimoney Chiropractic for horses and small animals including rabbits and
cats, Reiki healing and also animal communication.
If you are a practitioner who works with animals, why not include yourself
or your practice in our brand new section dedicated to animal health and
well-being both in the magazine and on the website.
THE HISTORY OF KENT & EAST SUSSEX CONNEXIONS
Kent Connexions is a Complementary Therapy
magazine first published in January 1993 by Margaret Koolman, Sally
Young and Graham Davies, as they realised the ever growing interest in
Alternative Medicines and all things relating to complementary therapy.
Production was continued by Graham Davies and Maureen Ritchie, and at
the end of 1996, the publication began to incorporate the area of East
Sussex, though it was not until April 2001 that the magazine became known
as Kent & East Sussex Connexions.
Julie Thatcher began helping with the production of the magazine around 1996.
In 2005, Graham decided to leave the magazine due to other commitments, and has
gone on to run his own Complementary Therapy Centre in Herne Bay called Number
11. Julie and Maureen continued the production of Kent & East Sussex Connexions
together, but Maureen sadly died in November of 2005. Julie now runs the Kent &
East Sussex Connexions magazine and website, with a small team of friends who
assist with the delivery of the magazine to therapy centres, health food shops,
book stores, new age shops etc.
The Kent & East Sussex Connexions magazine is issued 3 times a year:
December to March, April to July and August to November.
It continues to thrive with a current print run of 10,000 copies every
4 months. It includes interesting and informative articles about the
different types of alternative therapies available, along with box
advertisements for various products and services including shops
specialising in crystals and unique crystal jewellery, health and spa
retreats in the UK and abroad, Mediumship courses, Hypnotherapy courses
and much more.
