Years ago I worked for a truly international company. Their founder and the head office of the company had big connections with Scandinavia and I really loved working for this group. When I first joined, the company had only recently set up the UK arm and I was one of the very earliest to join the staff. Much the baby of the outfit, I was rather spoilt on one hand but taken for a twit on the other. This was the bad old days when womens’ rights were non existent and unless you had a thoughtful and enlightened male boss, there was a great deal of running about after the men to be done. It didn’t seem in any way wrong then. For all the making and handing out of teas and coffees, clearing up after meetings and generally much nose wiping, there was an equal amount of favours & flirting to be enjoyed from my perspective!
